For the ultimate M-1-based home theatre installation incorporate the visually and acoustically unique PV1 subwoofer, which develops some serious bass power from its 500W IcePower® amplifier and back-to-back 8" drivers.

In a larger room, more bass power will be required, so a sound option to achieve this and, at the same time, raise the quality stakes is to bring in the AS2 subwoofer with its 10" mica cone driver, 150W amplifier and more advanced control functions.

For smaller rooms, a setup of five M-1s and the AS1 subwoofer offers the right balance of power and performance. The AS1 features an 85W amplifier, a 6.5 in driver and a choice of equalisation to suit the programme and room acoustics.

The M-1 has been engineered with the same design attributes and ethos as B&W’s larger ranges. Perhaps the most striking thing about the M-1 is the weight and strength of its curved aluminium cabinet. This is combined with a strong, glass-loaded ABS front baffle. Together they provide an excellent cabinet: the curved aluminium is stiff and the ABS offers excellent and appropriate damping characteristics.Sold Individualy.
